A big backyard in the country is the perfect place for Western Theme Reception. Hay Bales to seat your guests, Horse drawn Carriage to transport Bridal party & guests from the church to reception area. Of course Country music is a must. Large picnic tables decorated with gold bows is a beautiful touch.
Attire: The bride usually wears heavy fabrics that come with long sleeves and much, much lace. White Cowboy hat instead of a veil. Vintage Jewelry is a pretty addition.
For the groom, well, it is actually much easier. This is because the groom can wear the simple blue jeans, the typical brown vest, and the common brown jacket. The groom should, of course, don a hat and boots that come with spurs. Bolo ties are a must. Now, these make perfect clothes for a western themed wedding. And these are not expensive to come by at all!
The flower girl can be dressed in a pretty little "square dance" type dress that matches the wedding colors.
Invitations, Save the date cards, matching postage, RSVP cards & thank you cards in a matching western theme is an important part that you can't forget.
What a fun idea for a wedding!

ReplyDeleteMy sister-in-law had a Western wedding! We all wore denim and sat on hay bales. She had the loveliest denim gown with seed pearls and a long train.
ReplyDeleteDan the mule stuck his head over the fence and watched. He was the bridesmaid ;)
